MHSRS is the Department of Defense’s (DoD) premier annual military medical research meeting, drawing ~4,000 attendees. It provides an environment for military leaders and providers with deployment experience, DoD program managers, scientists, academia, and industry to meet and collaborate on the unique medical needs of the Warfighter. The DoD wants to hear from companies with research, innovations and technologies that address critical gaps in military medical care in the areas of Combat Casualty Care, Military Operational Medicine, Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine, Information Sciences, Military Infectious Diseases, and the Radiation Health Effects and uses the abstract submission process to learn about private sector innovations in these areas.
For industry, the conference provides a phenomenal opportunity for networking; developing relationships with program managers, clinicians, researchers, academia, and industry; gaining insights on priorities of the DoD; understanding where your capabilities align with DoD’s priorities; and meeting with leadership from Defense Health Agency, Futures Command, USAMRDC, WRAIR, USAISR, and the VA. An excellent way to build these relationships is to present at MHSRS, which is determined by abstract submissions.
